Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
