Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
