Al-Naba' 2 of 2
Surely for those who guard (against evil) is achievement, 31 Gardens enclosed and vineyards, 32 And full-breasted maidens of equal age. 33 and a cup overflowing. 34 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, nor any falsehood; 35 [All this will be] a reward from thy Sustainer, a gift in accordance with [His Own] reckoning 36 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He is the Beneficent God and no one will be able to address Him. 37 The day the Spirit takes its stand, with the angels ranged in rows. None will speak except who is permitted by Ar-Rahman and says what is right. 38 That is without doubt the True Day, so, whosoever wills, let him seek a place with (or a way to) His Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)! 39 We have warned you of a chastisement which is near at hand, on the Day when man shall [clearly] see what his hands have sent ahead, and when he who has denied the truth shall say, "Oh, would that I were dust!" 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
