He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 So you are after him! 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 and fearfully, 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 most exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and purified. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 then eased his path for him, 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 olives, dates, 29 And thick gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and covered by darkness. 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
