Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 When souls are reunited 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
