The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and brightening morning, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
