The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
