Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 The mountains made to move, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
