Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
