Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
