Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
