The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
