The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and so am I: 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
