Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
