The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
