The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is no joke. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
