Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
