Al-A'alaa

The All High (Al-A'alaa)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears will mind, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
