The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
