The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
