The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
