The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
