The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
