HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.
