The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
