Abraham was a community in himself devoted to God and true in faith, He was not one of the polytheists; 120 [for he was always] grateful for the blessings granted by Him who had elected him and guided him onto a straight way. 121 We granted him virtue in this life and he shall be among the righteous ones in the life to come. 122 So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah." 123 The Sabbath was made obligatory only upon those who differed in it; and indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matter in which they differed. 124 Call (the pagans) to the path of your Lord through wisdom and good advice and argue with them in the best manner. God knows well about those who stray from His path and those who seek guidance. 125 If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient. 126 And be patient, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire. 127 For surely Allah is with those who hold Him in fear and do good. 128
