The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
