Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
