And heaven -- We built it with might, and We extend it wide. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And set not up with God another god; I am a clear warner from Him to you. 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me. 56 I do not expect to receive any sustenance from them or that they should feed Me. 57 Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60
