Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 Whoever worships another god apart from God, for which he holds no proof, will have to account for it before his Lord. Verily the unbelievers will not prosper. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
