The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
