Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
