The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 and produce sparks 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
