The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the snorting, panting horses, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
