Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
