The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in towering columns. 9
