The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
