Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
