He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture. 10 He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 It is He who has subdued the sea that you may eat fresh meat from it, and obtain ornaments to wear. You see the ships plough through it that you may seek of His bounties and, perhaps, be grateful. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you reveal. 19 And those whom they call on besides Allah have not created anything while they are themselves created; 20 (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised. 21
