Man says, 'What, when I am dead shall I then be brought forth alive?' 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, when he was nothing? 67 So by your Lord, We shall assemble them and the devils – all of them – and bring them around hell, fallen on their knees. 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell. 71 Then We shall save those who use to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. And We shall leave the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell). 72 When Our revelations are recited to them, the unbelievers say to the faithful ones, "Which of us is more prosperous?" 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say, "The Gracious One grants respite for a time to those who are in error until, when they are confronted with what they are promised, either in punishment [in the world] or in [the approach of] the Hour, they will realize who is worse in respect of position and who is weaker in resources." 75 God increases His guidance to those who follow guidance; and lasting good works are better in the sight of your Lord and are most rewarding. 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen? Or taken a covenant with the Merciful? 78 By no means! We shall write down that which he saith; and We shall lengthen for him of the torment a length. 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he shall come to us alone. 80 And they have taken gods besides Allah, that they should be to them a source of strength; 81 By no means! anon they shall deny their worship, and become unto them an adversary. 82
