Man asks, "When I am once dead, shall I be raised to life?" 66 But does man not remember that We created him when he was nothing before? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 We know best who deserves greater suffering in hell fire. 70 and there is not one of you but shall pass through it: a decree from your Lord which must be fulfilled. 71 And once again: We shall save [from hell] those who have been conscious of Us; but We shall leave in it the evildoers, on their knees. 72 When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company?' 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." 75 Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort. 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)? 78 Indeed not. We shall record what he says and shall prolong the punishment for him. 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he will come unto Us, alone (without his wealth and children). 80 And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor. 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
