Tell them, (O Muhammad): "Who protects you, during the night or the day from the Most Compassionate Lord?" And yet they turn away from the Admonition of their Lord. 42 Or do they have lords of their own besides Us who can defend them? But they are not able to help themselves, nor can they find protection against Us. 43 Yet We bestowed the good things [of life] upon their fathers for a great length of time. But do they not see how We are shrinking their borders? Is it they who will prevail? 44 Say: "I am warning you by God's command." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 46 We shall maintain proper justice on the Day of Judgment. No soul will be wronged the least. For a deed even as small as a mustard seed one will duly be recompensed. We are efficient in maintaining the account. 47 To Moses and Aaron We granted the criteria of discerning right from wrong, and We gave them the light and a reminder to the pious ones 48 Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom). 49 This is a blessed reminder that We have revealed to you. Will you then reject it? 50
