The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
