Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces, and therein they shall be grinning. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
