The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 Never does a new reminder come to them from Ar-Rahman but they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 What, have they not regarded the earth, how many therein We have caused to grow of every generous kind? 7 Verily, in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 8 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 9
