۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 we are a large and watchful force." 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
