The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
