And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 who sees you when you stand 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
