If We extend anyone's life, We reverse his development. Can they not use their reason? 68 We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear: 69 that he may warn the living, and so that Judgement may be passed against the unbelievers. 70 Are they, then, not aware that it is for them that We have created, among all the things which Our hands have wrought, the domestic animals of which they are [now] masters? 71 And We have subjected them to them, so some of them they have to ride upon, and some of them they eat. 72 From cattle they get milk and other benefits. Will they not then give thanks? 73 And they have taken gods besides Allah that they may be helped. 74 Those deities can render them no help. Yet these devotees act as though they were an army in waiting for them. 75 Let not their words grieve you. We have knowledge of all that they conceal and all that they reveal. 76 Has the human not seen how We created him from a drop (of sperm)? Yet he is a clear opponent. 77 And he has struck for Us a similitude and forgotten his creation; he says, 'Who shall quicken the bones when they are decayed?' 78 Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing." 79 Who hath appointed for you fire from the green tree, and behold! ye kindle from it. 80 Is not He, who created the heavens and earth, able to create the like of them? Yes indeed; He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 81 When He wills a thing, His command is to say to it 'Be', and it is! 82 All glory belongs to the One in whose hands is the control of all things. To Him you will all return. 83
