۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
